Oh, hey! Have you ever used one of these before?

Air hockey? Yeah. I'm assuming you have not.

I haven't... it looks interesting, though.

[though she can't figure out what she's supposed to do with it. (it's not turned on, yet, so the puck hasn't come out yet. there's just the... goddamnit. the things you hold in your hands. i don't know what they're called.]

What brings you here today?

Looking for something to do.

[ since his usual method of killing time ISN'T APPLICABLE HERE ]

[there's a little thunk on one side of the table as the puck falls out of the slot. sqx goes to investigate it, picks it up, and then is absolutely delighted to see how there's air coming out of the little holes on the table itself.

she puts the puck on the table and grins.]

The rules are simple enough-- you simply try to score the puck into the opponent's goal.

[ he points at the puck so that she knows. that's it. ]

That makes sense.

[well! here to go!

she smacks the puck with - google tells me it's a striker?? okay - her striker, aiming for the goal on his side, though of course it goes wild and ricochets off the side of the table instead.]

he waits for it to get closer to him, before smacking it back towards her-- it may not be a perfect shot, but he at least knows how to play. ]

[it's not a perfect shot, but sqx accidentally catches it and knocks it back into her goal while trying to block it...]

[thunk! there it is again! this time, when she fishes it out, she tries to make her shot toward his goal a little more controlled.]

shi qingxuan's eyes widen, and she lets go of her striker]

[she blocks it, but it hits her fingers. he was not kidding when he said that was common... gritting her teeth, she knocks it back!!]

he goes to block it, and-- it goes in!

she beams, and lets go of her striker to clap her hands together with delight.]

[ he'll fish it out and place it on the table again. ]

Ready?

[good! then she can be proud of that shot.]

Bring it on!

[ great!

regardless if it's her time or not, sasazuka is just going to slam that puck as hard as he can towards her goal. ]

[shiftingwinds]

[and he scores, like, immediately.

...but she's feeling competitive now, so she wastes no time in fishing it out of the slot it popped out of and slamming it back toward his goal as hard as she can! take that!!]

he will go to smack it back! and it goes! he also bangs his fingers again as he does so, but it's. fine. ouch. ]

[smacks it back!! they're going to be at this for a while.

shi qingxuan is having a fantastic time, though.
