okay no that's a lie. she is seated at the bar, but there's not a bottle or even a glass of alcohol anywhere near her. instead, she's perusing through the first few pages of a notebook, her lips pursed.

anyway! shi qingxuan is here. she does not look happy. in fact, in stark contrast to yesterday, she's drinking directly from a big jug of rice wine, despite her nerfed alcohol tolerance. tomorrow she's probably going to be hungover as fuck.]

[ well. at this point it is obvious what is going on here.

however, sometimes you're sitting in the garden and you don't notice when someone else is in there. and that's why a memory (stop at 13:30) hits.

sasazuka just looks uncomfortable after. ]

[shi qingxuan freezes when the memory starts. by now, she's come to expect it a little - at least when she sees people. but she mistakes the flash of green that's sasazuka's hair for a plant (sorry) and is caught off guard.

[he'd seemed close to that girl - hoshino. she's not sure if it's something that sasazuka would have wanted her to see, or if that girl would, either.]

he walks into the tea room, pausing when he sees who's in here. well, he spent most of the execution talking to her, so he'll walk over. ]

[ for once, sasazuka is actually actively seeing her out. he goes to check out the bar. ]

[she is in fact drinking! not as heavily as she was on monday at dinner, thankfully. she tilts her head in sasazuka's direction when he calls out to her.]

Oh, hello. [...she seems kind of tired? it doesn't look like she's been sleeping too well. she's got faint circles under her eyes that'll probably become dark later. but she smiles anyway, because he's been nice enough to her.] How are you doing?

anyway! new week, new floor. shi qingxuan is exploring, which is how they'll run into each other, but her progress is halted for now; she's at the beach, staring out at the water with a somewhat complicated expression.

when she hears the crunch of sand under someone else's feet, though, she turns back to look and tries to wipe that expression away with a smile. too bad emotionshare week means it's pretty obvious she's feeling melancholy!]
