so here sqx is, plopped in a beanbag chair with a bowl of tasty-looking noodles in her lap, alternating between eating them and sipping at some rice wine (which she's totally "borrowed" a jug of from the bar) in a cup. when she sees childe enter, she nods toward him.]

[You know, normally, he probably wouldn't do this. But it is Heightened Indulgence week, so here they are, after successfully wheedling Shi Qingxuan into letting him teach her how to fight properly. They're in the simulation room, because of course they are, does Childe ever do anything besides fight in the simulation room? Unclear.

But at least this way he can accommodate her reluctance, since they can't get hurt with these weapons. He smiles at her, twirling his sword around. It's a "real" one, not one of his Hydro blades.]

well, no, not just in theory. she'd carried one with her, in the past - though that was more because of the way cultivators used them to fly around than for anything else; she heavily favors elemental magic, anyway. but she knows the basics well enough to defend herself in a pinch.

her stance is decent enough and her hold on the blade is right, at least, so she nods, readying her sword - not twirling it, because she doesn't know how to do it safely. even if they can't get hurt here, she'd rather not make a fool of herself.]
