shi qingxuan has been visiting the less-crowded rooms for exactly this reason; to make sure that no one is stewing in their thoughts alone, if some kind of company might help. so, when she spots primrose, she calls out - ]

Hello, Shi Qingxuan. [ She still can't say it perfectly so I guess SQX lives another day ] Were you searching for me?

... This isn't the first time I've witnessed death. But perhaps the first time I've seen it made into a mockery.

There are others better suited to comforting and being comforted, so I thought to largely leave that to them and gather my thoughts elsewhere.

Suited to it or not suited to it, I think it's something we could all use, to an extent - though what's comforting is different from person to person.

[a pause, and then - ]

Would you like some company? We don't have to talk about it if you'd rather not, but I don't think that there's any reason why you should have to be alone.

[ Listen, she's-- okay, yeah, she knows that sounds rude, but Primrose is still not that great at this. ]

I have plenty of concern to go around - but we're friends, so I can certainly spare some for you.

[whew! wow i was about to have sqx ask if she likes stargazing since they're in the planetarium but that's how i opened our first pc. uh.]

...it's really peaceful here today.

I am, too - the stars are truly beautiful.

But then she'll probably stay quiet just to chill with SQX and watch the stars until Beau's scream fades a little bit more. ]

it's nice, to just be able to enjoy some quiet company. maybe it's what they both need right now.]
