I've never been any good at it, either. Especially waiting for the next horrible thing to happen.

I suppose the only good thing about it is the longer we wait, the more time we have to prepare.

Prepare for what, round two of that farce from this weekend?

Well, the ideal option would be to prepare enough that there isn't a round two. If we can catch someone in the act and prevent them from doing it...

But failing that - I'd like to not repeat the same mistakes we made.

We don't even know what those mistakes were, though. Besides believing in what we thought was evidence, anyway.

There must have been something we missed while we were looking at it all. After all, in the end, there's no such thing as a perfect crime, is there?

And there was that skull, too. It didn't make much sense at all, but it must have been relevant somehow, right?

Probably, but the only person with a bone motif here is Harrow.

That alone doesn't make sense either. There must have been something that connected it all, but we didn't notice it or make the right connections...

I guess. But they vanished all the evidence away, so it's not like we can look it over to figure it out.

That's the most frustrating part. We're to be told we got it wrong, but given no chance to figure out where we went wrong?

And they know the actual answer, but we've got to figure it out for ourselves because they can't tell us.

It's a shame they can't just tell us... I'm sure it bothers them, too. [...] Or, at least, some of them.

They're people too, even if they're Avatars. I find it hard to imagine it wouldn't bother them at least a little.

Well, they're... "in charge," in a way, aren't they?

Well, I can't say it's entirely the same situation, but - I think I've mentioned before, I'm a god. [if she hasn't mentioned it specifically to grace before, she has now.] We don't often interact with mortals, but when we do, there's a sort of... expectation for how we ought to act. If we're rattled, we certainly aren't supposed to show it.

Ahaha, not that I'm always very good at it... but it could be that they're not meant to show us if they're bothered, just as they're not meant to just tell us the answers.
