When I heard about her plans to murder this week, I knew the only way to guarantee that she wouldn't would be to kill her myself. Because I didn't, she nearly killed Grace. I think she would have continued to try on another week, because she is driven by something she wants more badly than anything else.

I am no better or worse than she is, but we all must be decisive when it counts. Whoever fights her tomorrow... will need to make that sort of decision as well.

...I just hope whoever faces her tomorrow will be equipped to defend themselves. If she was ready to kill then, she'll... be all the more ready to kill now, when her life is on the line, right...?

...Yes. I'm not certain that Misa has any combat capabilities, but that may not be relevant. These executions are so unpredictable.

More than anything, they make me question the nature of this place. If it is working as designed, then why include something like executions, deliberately built for suffering?

...if the intent was simply to punish whoever we voted for, there wouldn't be any need to involve one of us at random so directly in them.

Perhaps the intent is to give someone who was voted for incorrectly a chance to fight for their life, but... that isn't quite fair to the person who is made to carry fight them. The whole thing feels senseless, but it seems especially so to involve someone who had nothing to do with it in that way.

I don't think there's any fairness to be found in a place such as this.
