Oh! We do have carriages, yes.

Okay! So a train is sort of like ... a bunch of carriages together, but it moves automatically on a set path. You don't need horses or anything. Does that make sense?

That makes a lot of sense! It sounds convenient, too.

It is if you're trying to go somewhere. The train I'm from is a little more special than that, though.

What makes it special?

It doesn't make any stops, for one. [ that's just ominous grace dont leave it at that ]

Really? Then how would people get on or off of it?

It shows itself to people who are really special, and lets them aboard. That's the only way to get on the train.

[ she does not say anything about getting off ]

It's a lot similar to this place in a way, I guess.

An otherworldly place where special people get chosen to go that's kind of dangerous? Of course, people don't kill each other on the train, so.

No kidding. This weekend was... A lot.

That's... putting it mildly.

...but what can we do? We'll deal with it one day at a time.

[she'd like to believe they can avoid another murder, but as gentle as she is, she's too old to believe there won't be any more bloodshed now that someone's gotten away with murder.]

... Yeah. [ grace also believes there's going to be another murderer, so. yeah. ] There's nothing much else we can do right now.

...I do hate waiting.

I've never been any good at it, either. Especially waiting for the next horrible thing to happen.

I suppose the only good thing about it is the longer we wait, the more time we have to prepare.

Prepare for what, round two of that farce from this weekend?

Well, the ideal option would be to prepare enough that there isn't a round two. If we can catch someone in the act and prevent them from doing it...

[but that's not likely.]

But failing that - I'd like to not repeat the same mistakes we made.
