[ someone woke up in the med bay and got out of her pod and is now busy staring at the other occupied one(s?). she looks a little pale still but it's PROBABLY not blood loss ]

[shiftingwinds]

[well, sqx keeps peeking into the medbay to check on people's healing, so -

she pauses in the doorway when she sees that grace is up.]

Grace?

[alteracion]

[ oh, she turns a little in surprise ]

Shi. [ ... ] Hi.

[shiftingwinds]

[it's. it's good that she's up? she looks relieved to see her well enough to be out of the pod, but also, that doesn't mean she's not worried.]

How are you feeling...?

[alteracion]

[ she grins. it's a little weak but it's there? ]

Better than earlier. These pods are pretty cool, huh?

[shiftingwinds]

[she chuckles]

They can work miracles, I think.

[alteracion]

Miracles...

[ does she glance at molly's pod. maybe so ]

That sounds right.

[shiftingwinds]

[if molly gets murdered tonight so help me god]

...then we're lucky that we have them available to us.

[alteracion]

[ i'd kill alli myself ]

... Yeah. [ she shakes her head ] We're fine.

Thank goodness.

[she breathes out a sigh of relief]

...Harrow noticed you and Mollymauk were missing, and we realized about Gojou as we were trying to track down who else might be with you. [...] We didn't find out about Douman until you all came back.

I'm so glad you're going to be okay.

[alteracion]

[ huh. tilts her head a little before she winces and puts a hand to it ]

How did Harrow notice...?

[shiftingwinds]

I'm not sure how she first found out, but she mentioned something about a glitch with the... read receipts on the phone. The time on it was earlier than the message.

[alteracion]

[ ... huh. ]

So we should be texting everyone every day to make sure they're not being tortured. Good to know.

[shiftingwinds]

[tortured...]

Is that what happened to you four...?

[alteracion]

Not-- literally. [ she shakes her head ] We just. Had a bad time.

[shiftingwinds]

...are you okay to talk about it?

[alteracion]

[ she looks down, quickly ]

There's not much to say. It was... bad.

[shiftingwinds]

I won't make you if you don't want to. [she's quick to reassure her of that!] But I'd like to know what happened, so I don't say something thoughtless by mistake that makes you remember it suddenly, later.

[alteracion]

[ that makes her smile, weakly ]

I doubt you could manage that. It's... not exactly the kind of scenario that'd come up again.

[shiftingwinds]

If that's the case, we can let it go. [...] But if you do ever want to talk about it, I'm glad to listen. Certain experiences can... haunt a person, and it can be easier once you share them with someone.

[for now, though...]

In the meantime, we can certainly talk about something else, if you'd like to take your mind off it.

[alteracion]

... Thank you. Really. But it. It happened to me. So I'd like to keep it to myself. For now.

[ she smiles at shi awkwardly ]

But I'll take the offer to talk about something else?

Of course. [she smiles] Sharing it or not, that's a decision only you can make - but you do have the option.

...how do you feel about dogs? I bet I could convince one to come back here from the dog park.

[alteracion]

Dogs are good. [ she grins lightly ] Just don't pick one of the fire breathing ones.

[shiftingwinds]

I'll be back with the cutest, non-fire breathing dog I can find.

Oh, wow. [ grace moves stiffly when it comes to crouching down for the dog, but she's able to and that is what matters ] Heyyy, puppy. He's so short.
